Karaoke Night! {Nate, Violet, Jeremy, open}
Ebony was a little nervous, after sending of three owls to three different people, she hoped that they didn't expect her to be any different to how she usually was. Jeremy was one thing, Violet knew what to expect and Nate was a different situation entirely. She had dressed warmly in the cool dark night, it was dark, and they only had until 9.30 pm, if they were careful hopefully longer. It all depended on who was in The Village Idiot later on and whether they were in a jolly enough mood. Smiling at someone walking into the pub, Ebony rolled her eyes, it was 7:45 pm, on the clock in the center of the pub, when she had last peeked in, and it wasn't so much cold as scarily dark.
She rubbed her hands together, grasping for her wand, finding it hiding in the back of her clothes, Ebony wasn't up for going by herself, but she didn't want to ask Jeremy or Violet or even Nate to come with her. It would just seem utterly pathetic, and she really didn't want to give any of them that impression, it would be completely embarrassing and Ebony would just want to curse herself for eternity.
Glancing from side to side, Ebony rolled her eyes, turning around and walking into The Village Idiot, it was too cold to wait for any of them any longer and she could always buy herself a drink. Many of the locals had already shut their shops hours ago and had come into the pub, especially for Karaoke Night, sitting quietly in the corner, Ebony watched them quickly signing their name, some laughing and others looking a little more than just nervous. Ebony wondered if any of them would go up, it would make for a great night, but it would all depend on who went up, she couldn't be sure if Nate would spread it around the school.
A waitress came over, Ebony ordered a butterbeer- going light on the start of the evening, there would be time for firewhisky and plenty more later. She hoped that Jeremy would arrive first, but Nate said that he might drag him there, which could suggest they go together, which would mean no time to talk or be alone. Ebony didn't know whether that was a good or a bad thing, stuff seemed to happen when they were alone and it was never that good.

Re: Karaoke Night! {Nate, Violet, Jeremy, open}
As Jeremy walked through the dark streets of Braedwell Moors, he shoved his hands into the pockets of his large gray jacket. It was a bit cold outside. Jeremy couldn’t exactly feel the cold, but it was just habit to act like he could. He passed a few people as he walked, muttering a polite ‘good evening’ to them. It seemed to take forever, but finally he was at The Village Idiot. He pushed open the doors to the pub without much thought, and walked slowly into the dimly lit building. It wasn’t late. Just past 7:45pm, Jeremy would guess. Already there were drunk people at the bar. The bartender, whom everybody knew as Johnny Depp, founder and owner of The Village Idiot, seemed to be having an argument with an extremely intoxicated woman.
Jeremy couldn’t help the smile from creeping onto his face, and turned away from the scene. He inhaled deeply, knowing he’d pick out the scent he wanted with no problems. He found it after only a second and made he was over to the table Ebony had claimed for them. Both Violet and Nate had agreed to coming; Jeremy had agreed under the condition that Nate would go as well. There was no way in hell that Jeremy would sing. This was merely a night out for him – a night out with the girl who fascinated him so much it was almost frustrating.
He approached the table silently, sliding in across from Ebony. She already had a butterbeer in front of her. “Hello, Ebony”, he greeted, smiling gently at her. He reached across the table and brushed a strand of hair away from Ebony’s face, careful not to brush his skin against hers. He settled back down in his seat, and waved a waitress over. He placed an order for a butterbeer, and within seconds, the drink was in front of him. He took a sip of the drink, careful to keep the revulsion he felt off his face. The drink did nothing for him, but he would have to keep up the act of being human. He could go hunting afterwards.
He set his drink down on the table, and looked towards the stage, where somebody had mustered up enough courage to sing. He turned his gaze back to Ebony, and gestured towards the stage. “Are you going to sing tonight?” he asked, a smile tugging at his lips.

Ebony turned, hearing Jeremy say her name as he slid into the seat opposite her. She tried not to blush when he moved the hair away from her face, "Hi Jeremy", Ebony gave a smile in return, wondering where Nate and Violet were. She had thought that Jeremy and Nate were coming together. As soon as he sat down, a waitress came over and Jeremy had a butterbeer in front of him. Ebony watched him carefully, she was glad he had come, finally, "Me? Embarrass myself? No thanks!" She shook her head, there was no way she was getting up on that stage without getting very drunk.
"What about you?" Ebony grinned, she could imagine Jeremy up on that stage, belting out a song to the audience. She would be laughing her head off, the image in her head was something she would love to see. Taking another sip of her butterbeer, she felt the warm liquid slide down her throat, warming her from the inside out. "Nate and Violet coming soon?" Ebony asked curiously. Of course, if they decided to not show she wouldn't mind, but considering they had both replied to her owl, it would be a little rude.
Ebony watched the singer begin their song, they sounded pretty drunk, and here started 'Karaoke Night!'. It was something Ebony loved watching, it would be a shame if they had to get back early if there was a professor about. She didn't think the Depps would mind, especially since they were seventh years anyway. Ebony turned back to Jeremy, a smile still upon her face, "We could always do one together, or just you an Nate!" She gave a small laugh, she'd definitely pay to see that.

Re: Karaoke Night! {Nate, Violet, Jeremy, open}
Despite it being early in the school year, it was already pretty chilly out, and Violet was forced to dress warmer than she normally would have cared to. Tugging her long sweater (goblin made, of course) tight around her thin and well-exercised form , Violet forced herself to walk down to The Village Idiot to join Ebony and friends for karaoke night. Of course, she was only going because Nate was, and for this she had lugged herself out of her nice warm dorm and the comfort of Medea to go down and have her ears assaulted.
Teasing her hair so it hung in feathery waves, her freckles standing out underneath her smoky eyeliner, giving her a very sexy yet unattainable look, exactly what she wanted. After all, she HAD to look outstanding if she was going to be able to make it through the night. Swiping on a little clear gloss, Violet tucked her clutch in her hand, and was holding it now as she neared the pub.
Entering the bar, there was already a semi-inebriated wizard "serenading" the crowd onstage, and Violet rolled her eyes, spotting Ebony and the charming Jeremy almost immediately. Nate's absence was noted, and she pursed his lips, though she did not get too nervous. After all, he WOULD be there. There was no way he wouldn't. Swinging into the empty chair at Ebony and Jeremy's table, Violet leaned forward on the smooth wood surface, beckoning to a waitress.
"Firewhiskey." she said with a disinterested tone, looking up at the waitress's incredulous look. 'Are you even old enough?' Violet smiled contemptuously, pointing at the front page of the open newspaper of a witch nearby. It was a picture of her, her mother and her father, the title 'MINISTER ATTENDS BANQUET WITH FAMILY FOR HOSPITAL FUNDS' hovering above it as the three smiled charmingly up from the photo, waving gracefully.
"Do you know who I am?" she asked plainly, raising one eyebrow as the waitress turned her eyes back to Violet's blue-green ones. The woman pursed her lips, muttering Firewhiskey under her breath and heading off to make her drink. In a flash she was back with a tumbler-full, and Violet handed her a few sickles for the drink. Sipping it tenderly, she turned back to Ebony and Jeremy, greeting them finally. "I'm going to need to get PRETTY wasted if you expect me to sing a note."
