Halloween Sale! [OPEN!]
Miffy was beaming from ear to ear, having lit up her shop in preparation for the two weeks ahead. Already people had entered and started buying her halloween themed sweets in time for the upcoming event. It was most definitely one of the biggest events around and was always something enjoyed by everyone around. Fiddling with a flickering jack 'o lantern she rested it against the outside of her shop, it wouldn't blow out any time soon so long as it was protected from the breeze. Miffy stepped back into her shop, welcoming yet another customer buying a fair few Liquorice Bats. They were plain bats on a stick made of liquorice, eventually if given half a chance they would begin to fly off the stick until the charm wore off. By that time, most of the bats were on the floor and people wanted more.
Smiling and waving goodbye to the customer, she smoothed out her purple robes, and sat down on the stool behind the desk. Miffy had done a good job so far, this was yet another highlight of the season, she would need alot of business from this to coast her through the time people were away from Braedwell Moors. Even just the students made up 40% of her profits alone, and about 10% from the professors.
It was most certainly a good thing, they all enjoyed her sweets and they were all little darlings sometimes. It just so happened that they didn't like talking to her, whenever Miffy tried to begin a conversation with a menacing looking sixth year, she was regarded with the filthiest look and roughly handed the money. Miffy couldn't blame them, even if she lived in Braedwell, no matter how much she loved it she couldn't really agree with some of the practices behind Braedans walls, even once she left.
Miffy always felt like the odd one out there, visiting other places she found that not everyone was like the people at Braedan. However, now, it really was none of her business what the students were up to. Miffy slid off the stool, and into the back stockroom in search of some more of those fudge fairy wands some of the younger one's were so crazy about. It was probably down to the sale she had on at the moment, 10% off each sale over one galleon and 20% off with sales over one galleon and a few sickles with a free fudge wand. Emerging from the stock room with a small box in hand, Miffy heard the bell above the door ring through her small shop. She looked up and smiled at the person who entered.

Re: Halloween Sale! [OPEN!]
With the amount of slaves willing assistants Nate had dogging his footsteps, there were few things he needed to get done that he couldn't get someone else to do for him - and he wasn't at all shy about using that to his full advantage. Why let things go to waste, right? Though of course, he wasn't nearly stupid enough to let the kids do everything, oh Voldemort no. Anything trivial, meaningless, simple enough that none of them could botch up was fine, but there was no bloody way Nate was about to let himself get into a position where he actually had to depend on anyone else - or worse, allow them to be privy to personal information he'd much rather keep to himself; that was just one of the key things his Grandfather Terrence had taught him. So tedious as it was (and probably as unbelievable) the fifth year did his own schoolwork, scrawled his own letters (though having someone write while he dictated really was a tempting idea), handled his own illegal schemes, and - when he was in the mood for some - bought his own sweets down in the Moors. The last was pretty much an unknown fact, besides Jeremy and his siblings (who he didn't mind knowing) as well as his roommates (who would know anyway given they'd spent the last five years living together) Nate didn't think anyone knew about his fondness for sugary edibles. Which was a good thing, really. He did have an image to keep up, after all.
The door bell's light tinkling sounded through the modest little shop as he stepped into unimaginatively named Miffy's Sweets, announcing his presence. Nate ignored it, letting the door click shut behind him as he paused briefly to look around and loosen the dark red scarf wrapped warmly around his neck. Glancing towards the back of the shop, he met Miffy Bloomsberg's stare and returned her smile with his own trademark smirk. The (slightly) older woman was harmless; sweet, cheerful, friendly, not at all bad looking - the type of person he only bothered with when he needed something from them. And even he had to admit, the sweets she sold were equal to the ones in London. They more than made up for the conversational front he was obliged to put up around her (yet another one of Grandfather Terrence's rules, and his personal favourite: always be as charming as possible, the more people you had eating out of the palm of your hand the better).
"Afternoon, Miss Bloomsberg," he called out pleasantly, lifting his right hand in a casual two-fingered wave as he began his stroll through the shop. It didn't take very long at all to get to the counter with his picks of the day, he had been frequenting the place long enough to be familiar with what was on sale. Piling his selections onto the smooth countertop, he rested his arms comfortably on the wooden surface, leaning forward. "I like the decorations this year," he commented easily, jerking his head towards the door as he added, "Jack o'lantern's especially effective, I think. Had a good day today, then?"

Re: Halloween Sale! [OPEN!]
Upon realising the student at the door was none other than Nate Fox she replied back happily to his greeting. "Hello Mr Fox" Miffy watched him while she sat on the stool, glancing at him walk confidantly around the shop from time to time. He knew his way easily around the shop, picking up his usuals and coming to a stop in front of her and the till. He leaned forward, quite at home with what he was doing, still surprising Miffy a little. Miffy nodded in reply to his comment, "Me too. I think they embrace the feeling of it all rather nicely" She replied, quietly.
"Jack o'lantern's especially effective, I think. Had a good day today, then?"
Miffy scanned the items, sugar quills, licorice bats, chocolate frogs, cockroach clusters and acid pops. Quite the sweet tooth apparently. Working the maths out in her head, "That's one galleon, three sickles and eleven knuts" Miffy shrugged at his question. "It's just from the shop up the road, booming with halloween things" She waited for him to present the money as she carried on talking, her eyes flicking to the back door, wondering who would next walk in. "It's been... quiet" She wasn't sure why or how or what had gotten into her customers, "It's early though, and just the start of Halloween. It's been a very good day though." She smiled. "Did you find all of the sweets you were looking for?" Miffy asked kindly, she had recently sold out of some of her most popular stock and she wasn't sure if he was looking for those. The way he walked around the shop, it would seem not.
"How are the decorations in the castle? Have they been set up yet?" Miffy remembered her time in the castle, it was always so magic, excuse the pun. "Is there anything being held to celebrate Halloween?"
